Role Description The Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Cypress, TX. This position involves performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, and recommending appropriate preventive care such as vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness screenings. The Associate Veterinarian will perform and interpret diagnostic tests, carry out routine and advanced surgical procedures, and provide dental care as needed. Daily responsibilities include communicating treatment plans and medical findings to clients, maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff, and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace. The role may also include participating in hospital protocols, quality improvement efforts, and mentoring less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure.

• Clinical proficiency in small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, with sound diagnostic and treatment skills.

• Strong communication and client education abilities, including clear, empathetic, and professional interactions with pet families and team members.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and effective time management.

• Commitment to compassionate, low-stress handling of animals and adherence to high standards of patient care and medical ethics.

• Willingness to engage in continuing education, learn new techniques, and adapt to updated medical guidelines and hospital protocols.

• Prior experience in general companion animal practice is preferred but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
