Responsibilities Include

  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional communication and education.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide variety of medical conditions using evidence-based medicine.
  • Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry based on your experience and interests.
  • Utilize digital radiology and laboratory diagnostics to provide timely, accurate medical care.
  • Collaborate with fellow veterinarians and support staff to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough medical records.
  • Promote preventive healthcare and lifelong wellness for companion animals.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful team culture.
  • Continue developing your clinical interests through mentorship and continuing education.

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent).
  • Active New Mexico veterinary license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality companion animal medicine.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

Preferred

  • Experience in small animal general practice.
  • Interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
  • Experience with digital radiography and diagnostic medicine.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative medicine and mentorship.
  • Desire to contribute to a positive hospital culture.
