Job Summary:

The Associate Veterinarian will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians to provide high-quality medical care to small animals. This individual will be responsible for performing routine exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, and providing preventive care to ensure the health and well-being of all patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine physical exams and provide medical care to small animals

- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries per established protocols

- Administer vaccines and medications as needed

- Perform surgical procedures as necessary

- Communicate with pet owners to discuss treatment plans and provide education on pet care

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure the best possible care for all patients

- Stay current on industry advancements and participate in continuing education opportunities

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university

- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York

- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Passion for providing exceptional care to animals
