Job Summary/Basic Functions

The AVP, Finance responsible for analysis and assistance with the maintenance of the University's general ledger trial balance, revenue/expenditure reporting, cash management services, EKU Foundation operations, financial audits and overall financial management and budget. Responsible for financial/budget oversight and guidance to all auxiliary service operations. Overall management of many University business contracts and administrative units. Select duties will be more defined.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: B.S. Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other business related, relevant field is required. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.

Experience: Five years or more of appropriate, applicable experience in college/university or governmental business services/operations; and/or administration.

Job Duties:

• 50% - Responsible for analysis and assistance with the maintenance of the University's general ledger trial balance, revenue/expenditure reporting, cash management services, EKU Foundation operations, financial audits and overall financial management and budget. - (Essential)
• 30% - Responsible for financial/budget oversight and guidance to all auxiliary service operations. - (Essential)
• 20% - Overall management of many University business contracts and administrative units. Select duties will be more defined. - (Essential)
