    Position: Associate Vice President, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Oversees and directs a management team responsible for the delivery of HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) services to assigned line of business (Geisinger or Commercial). Collaborate with AVP counterpart to define and deliver a collaborative imaging equipment maintenance services program that utilizes shared resources where possible and common systems across all clients. Collaborate with the managers and team members within the HTM Quality and Logistics groups who are responsible for related quality, asset management, supply chain, and dispatch functions. Ensure all HTM service delivery program elements are designed and implemented to comply with Joint Commission and other regulatory and inspection agency requirements, guidelines, and standards. Develop annual goals and objectives related to supporting the growth and development of HTM in response to present and future needs. In collaboration with the CFO and Controller, develop and manage annual HTM operating budgets for assigned line of business.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Jointly with the Director, Quality and Logistics and Geisinger Operations, develop and implement consistent policies and procedures that guide and support the delivery of HTM services.
    • Provide resources to: assist with the review and ranking all strategic capital requests for clinical technology; assess and prioritizes all assigned client''s strategic capital requests; assist with planning for construction projects involving clinical equipment as needed; assist with pre-purchase evaluations, vendor research, cost-of-ownership assessment, and other activities in support of client''s clinical equipment acquisitions; offer initial inspections and acceptance testing for acquisition of clinical equipment; participate in the investigation and reporting of medical device related incidents; participates in the medical device hazard and recall notification program; complies with the Joint Commission medical equipment management standards.
    • Provide management of equipment performance and service vendors to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
    • When products or services are found to be unsatisfactory, expedites solving problems and finding solutions.
    • Communicates with key clinical clients through participation in client''s system-wide and entity committees.
    • Assists other executives and team members to optimize annual capital purchasing power or identifying opportunities to consolidate purchases across clients and fiscal years.
    • Jointly with client''s Supply Chain and ISS Solutions sourcing, negotiates system-wide vendor service agreements where appropriate.
    • Supervises and participates in in-service training of technicians and clinical staff concerning use and operation of patient care equipment.
    • Develops and implements programs (e.g. supervisor training, employee feedback sessions) that increase employee engagement.
    • Provide service to clients as to meet specific needs and fulfill contractual obligations.
    • Provide centralized imaging equipment services planning, sales support and service delivery support to clients and ISS Solutions regional management as assigned.
    • Participates in executive briefings and other client relations programs to help ISS Solutions build good will in the external marketplace.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Must possess a Bachelor''s Degree in engineering, IT or related field
    • Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare Technology Management
    • CHTM Certification preferred
