Overview

A growing investment‑focused organization is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Reporting & Analytics to take ownership of enterprise reporting efforts supporting mortgage servicing operations. This position is responsible for developing reporting strategy, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering high‑quality internal and external reporting across operational, financial, and compliance areas.

This role manages a broad reporting portfolio and will act as a hands‑on contributor while leading major reporting initiatives. As the function grows, the position may expand to include oversight of contract resources or a small reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Reporting Leadership

  • Build and refine reporting frameworks that support evolving business and regulatory needs.
  • Lead efforts to implement modern analytics tools, including dashboarding and BI solutions such as Power BI.

Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

  • Prepare recurring state and federal servicing‑related regulatory submissions.
  • Support audits and examinations by ensuring documentation, data, and reporting outputs are complete and exam‑ready.

Data Governance & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage daily data files and recurring data feeds from external service providers.
  • Oversee secure data transfers and validate data integrity across systems.

Exception, Risk & Quality Monitoring

  • Maintain exception reporting suites, track data/document discrepancies, and support delinquency oversight processes.

Investor & Industry Reporting

  • Complete periodic submissions for external stakeholders, including investor‑level reporting and industry data questionnaires.

Data Processing & SQL Development

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from enterprise systems.
  • Reconcile datasets, troubleshoot anomalies, and maintain process documentation for repeatability and audit readiness.

Process Enhancement

  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual workload.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work cross‑functionally to gather business requirements and validate reporting outputs.
  • Mentor junior analysts or guide contract resources as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex queries and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical mindset, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with mortgage servicing or financial services data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with state‑level mortgage regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with MSR‑related data structures and reporting practices.
  • Understanding of compliance, audit, and data governance processes.
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring analysts.
