EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE: :

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in management, nursing and/or related field or commensurate

experience required; Master's degree in management, nursing, and/or related field

preferred.

  3. Experience: 3 to 5 years in managing complex, multifaceted projects and systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Responsible for administrative oversight of operational, financial, quality, and patient experiences of all outpatient physician service lines.
  • Provides oversight and support to all Practice Managers and all Clinic support staff.

Supports and empowers employees to embrace the mission, vision, and value statement of

the organization.

Performs management activities including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, terminating, and

departmental staffing and scheduling.

Resolves personnel concerns at the department level, utilizing the grievance process.

Promotes patient safety in all healthcare delivery settings to include medication safety, patient-

physician communication, health literacy, and public health education.

  • Assesses and increases patient satisfaction through patient education, front office experience, and communication.
  • Ensures optimal patient flow and outstanding customer service.

Provides oversight of quality improvement activities to evaluate process improvement

opportunities based on data regarding all aspects of the practice to include cost and value of the

clinics, patient and treatment demographics, and efficiency of the claims cycle. Implements

programs as necessary for improvement.

Monitors delivery of patient services to include reviewing physician activity data and forecasts and prepares for all changes needed or impacted by patient load, billing/collecting procedures, and government regulations and policies.

  • Oversees and collaborates with physician services leadership and management team to recruit,

supervise, and direct all Physician Services non-provider staff, ensuring that clinics operate in an efficient manner and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of customer service.

Conducts regular team meetings with each clinic to facilitate team building and process

improvement.

Works with the practice management and electronic medical record systems ensuring efficiency,

effective training, adequate record keeping, and also ensuring that all state and federal regulations governing the release of information are followed.

  • Monitors staffing ratios and makes staffing changes accordingly.
  • Works collaboratively with VP of Physician Operations on Clinic strategic planning initiatives.
  • Analyzes clinic productivity and works collaboratively with VP of Physician Operationsto design workflow improvements to maximize clinic productivity.
  • Analyze Referral Management data to ensure referrals are captured, documented, scheduled, and resolved timely and appropriately.
  • Understand key performance indicators that drive the revenue cycle and ensure targeted

benchmarks are achieved.

  • Ensures accuracy of payroll submission, including monitoring of overtime and/or temporary

personnel as related to the budget.

Serve as a role model to staff and providers by ensuring every aspect of service to patients,

colleagues, and providers is performed with the utmost respect and professionalism.
