Summary: Associate on the US Debt Syndicate DeskThis position is part of the Global Bond Debt Syndicate team for GMD located in New York. This desk works in conjunction with Debt Capital Markets to originate and execute new issue bond transaction for Credit Agricole's Corporate and Financial Institution clients in the US Dollar market. Within the Capital Market Funding (CMF) department, the Bond Syndicate team is responsible for pricing and selling all types of new bond issues across IG, ABS and USPPs. The role will work across all aspects of deal execution.Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with Head of Syndicate, Americas to originate and execute new bond issuancePrepare regular pricing updates by analysing and compiling market comparablesPrepare internal and external marketing materials and updatesManage book building process via e-book/ IssueNet/Directbooks for transactionsEnsure all transactions are recorded accurately in the risk system and timely reconcile all discrepanciesProduce validated market risk reports and P&L statements on a daily basisWork with the Back- and Middle Office department to settle various transactionsBack-up on live deals across the desk's activities when the lead syndicate manager is unavailableManagement and ReportingReports to Head of Syndicate, AmericasAttend regular meetings with Syndicate and Debt Capital Markets (and Securitization) teams to review market strategy, current market trends, exchange trade ideas and receive updates on administrative matters.In conjunction with management, establish overall risk parametersEnsure adherence with regard to position and risk limitsAdhere to given risk limits at all timesManage and hedge primary positions as instructed by Head of Syndicate on an intra- and inter-day basisRequirementsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAmbitious and self-motivatedOrganizational skills and multitasking are important since the candidate will need to work on medium term projects in parallel to day-to-day tasksStrong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skillsAutonomy and confidence will be necessary as the candidate will need to interact with various departments of the bankBachelor's degree from a highly accredited institution in related fieldPrevious experience from a syndicate role is preferredKey Internal ContactsChief Operating Office (Local and Global Business Manager)Team members - Global Syndicate and Debt Capital MarketsMarket Activity Monitoring (MAM) / Market Risk - provision of daily P&L and risk reportsBack Office / Middle OfficeSystems UsedInternal - MS Office, Intranet, MurexExternalBloombergSalary Range: $150-225k#LI-DNI
