Title: Associate Wealth Manager Location: San Diego, CA Rate: $80k – $105k/base + performance bonus Reporting to: Senior Wealth Manager
OVERVIEW:
The Associate Wealth Manager supports client relationships and the delivery of financial strategies across investments, tax, estate, and long-term planning.
This role is designed for someone early to mid-career who wants to develop into a lead advisor over time. The position provides exposure to high-net-worth client relationships and participation in financial planning and client communication. Associates begin by supporting client relationships and gradually take ownership of select client segments over time.
This is a long-term role for individuals who want to grow within a firm and build toward becoming a Wealth Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support senior advisors in managing high-net-worth client relationships
Take ownership of defined client relationships over time.
Assist in the development and implementation of wealth strategies across investments, tax, estate, and financial planning
Participate in client meetings and lead portions of client communication related to recommendations, materials, and follow-up communication
Analyze client financial situations, identify issues, and help develop actionable recommendations
Work closely with internal team members and external advisors (CPAs, attorneys) to execute client strategies
Maintain organization and follow-through across client deliverables and planning work
Develop the technical and client-facing skills required to take on increased responsibility over time
Work within the firm's advisory model and team structure with a focus on execution and reliability
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related field
Exposure to high-net-worth clients or financial planning work
CFP designation preferred
Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, investments, and client service
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and organization
