About the Team
The Web Merchandising team is a key function in the Direct to Consumer (DTC) organization that collaborates cross-functionally to help Williams Sonoma continue to create an immersive, ecommerce first experience for our consumers. The team drives site merchandising strategy and execution for all categories, collaborating with merchandising to drive site implementation of product and content strategy, consumer experience strategy and optimization as well as with the digital operations team.
About the Role
As an Associate Website Merchandiser, you will support the digital business performance of assigned product divisions within the Pottery Barn Kids brand. You will execute ecommerce merchandising strategies that drive revenue, conversion, customer engagement, and product discoverability while delivering an inspiring, mobile-first shopping experience.
This role combines site merchandising execution, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional partnership. Working closely with Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams, you will help create compelling product and category experiences, leverage customer insights and reporting to identify opportunities, and support the ongoing optimization of the customer journey across digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Support the digital business performance of assigned product divisions by helping drive revenue, conversion, engagement, and productivity against forecast and business goals.
- Build, maintain, and optimize product detail pages, category pages, and other site experiences to support product discoverability, customer engagement, and conversion.
- Execute site merchandising strategies across homepage, category, search, navigation, and promotional experiences to align with business priorities and customer needs.
- Ensure category priorities, seasonal campaigns, newness, and key product launches are accurately represented across site experiences and digital channels.
- Monitor product presentation, product ranking, navigation, search results, and site content to ensure a high-quality customer experience and support business objectives.
- Analyze business performance, customer behavior, and site metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations; communicate insights to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Create reporting and business insights that improve visibility into performance trends and support data-driven decision making.
- Conduct competitive analysis and monitor customer, market, and digital commerce trends to identify opportunities and share recommendations with the broader team.
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Product, Technology, Analytics, and Operations teams to support alignment and successful execution of key initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce customer friction and improve the shopping journey through data analysis, customer feedback, and behavioral insights.
- Support the launch and optimization of personalization initiatives, AI-enabled experiences, and site enhancements that improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.
- Monitor site performance across desktop, mobile, and app experiences, proactively identifying issues and partnering with stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture through proactive communication, knowledge sharing, and strong cross-functional partnership.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, digital marketing, retail, or a related business function.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Experience using web analytics and reporting tools to evaluate business performance and customer behavior.
- Understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, product data, and the relationship between backend systems and the customer-facing web experience; database experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, anticipate challenges, and contribute to solutions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in an evolving environment with changing priorities and new opportunities.
- Self-motivated, curious, and action-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering results.
- This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $71,000 - $85,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
