Position Summary

The Assistant Head Women's Soccer Coach serves as an integral member of the USCB Women's Soccer program and assists the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful NCAA Division II program. This position plays a vital role in recruiting outstanding student-athletes, developing competitive soccer skills, supporting academic achievement, coordinating daily program operations, and fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship.

The successful candidate will be committed to helping student-athletes excel academically, athletically, and personally while representing USCB with professionalism throughout the region.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Women's Soccer program.
  • Coach and develop field players through individual instruction, technical training, and organized practice sessions.
  • Plan and implement drills that enhance player performance and team competitiveness.
  • Recruit highly qualified student-athletes who align with the University's academic and athletic mission.
  • Evaluate prospective student-athletes through scouting, tournaments, showcases, and recruiting events.
  • Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and match-day operations.
  • Help coordinate the day-to-day operations of the soccer program.
  • Monitor and support student-athlete academic progress and promote academic success.
  • Assist with team travel, equipment management, scheduling, and operational logistics.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach initiatives that strengthen the program's visibility and community engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with student-athletes, alumni, campus partners, and supporters.
  • Perform additional coaching and administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women's Soccer Coach.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications

Preference to be given to those with goal keeper coaching experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of sport rules and regulations as well as NCAA DII rules and regulations. Superior oral and written communication skills; effective organization and administrative skills; strong computer skills. Knowledge of the goal keeper position and ability to implement a year long training program for keepers.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Serves as Assistant Head Coach for Women's Soccer program and is responsible for day-to-day coaching of student-athletes. Primarily responsible for teaching, training, and instruction of goal keepers.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty

Responsible for scouting opposing teams and working to develop game strategy. Assist SID in keeping all media outlets abreast of all information related to the Women's Soccer team including schedules, results, and statistics.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty

Assists the Head Coach with coaching of field players to include teaching, training, and oversight of drills. Assist with the day to day operations of running a collegiate soccer program to include recruiting, scouting, and monitoring of academics.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty

Other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach
