Avis/Budget Martha's Vineyard is looking for a year round, Assistant Manager to be developed into a Co-Manager. Candidates will be primarily responsible for managing a team of car washers and counter agents. Would be responsible for managing vehicle fleet requirements of operations in order to meet business goals. The successful candidate will be an organized & self-motivated individual that will undertake all duties involved with the successful running of the Avis Budget Group facility. This exciting and fast paced role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to utilise their leadership skills and operational expertise. Candidates may be from Martha's Vineyard or from Off-Island and we can help with housing if you were to relocate to here. We also encourage candidates to apply from off Island and commute daily to the Island. A large portion of the work force on the Island now commutes daily from Woods Hole including some of our employees and managers.
Responsibilities
· Effectively manage vehicle fleet levels and employee rostering to meet customer demands
· Monitor the level of customer service being delivered and continually identify and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction.
· Create and facilitate a team environment within our locations.
· Identify and continually monitor employee needs and implement actions to increase employee satisfaction and manage the performance of employees as needed. This would include scheduling a staff of about 20 employees in season, monitoring that staff in executing the daily duties and overseeing all daily operations at our 3 locations.
Benefits and Perks
Competitive Salary - $50,000 - $60,000 depending on managing and leadership experience.

Martha's Vineyard is a fun and exciting place to work whether you live on the Island or commute from off island. Our business hours are from 8AM - 6PM - 7 days per week. Candidate would be
required to work 5 days a week in the off season Nov. 1st to April 30th, and 6 days a week in season May 1st to October 31st. Saturdays may be required in season.
