Asst. Project Manager - Entry Level

Herman Weissker Power Inc. is a leading company in the construction and engineering industry. We perform engineering & construction work in a variety of market segments. We are headquartered in Riverside , CA with business units in LA, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura performing work throughout California.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organization, Problem-Solving, and Clear Communication

• Leadership & Management Qualities.

• Good Knowledge of project software (like MS Office, Bluebeam, and Emails)

• At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry work.

• Budgeting skills.

• Good Driving Record and Active CA Driving License

• Coachable and adaptable

• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.

• Follows and ensures compliance with all company safety program requirements.

• Promotes safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors,

• Performs additional assignments at the direction of the Division Manager

EDUCATION:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Construction Management Bachelor of Science certification preferred but not required.
• A 4-year engineering degree preferred but not required.
• Spectrum program, or equivalent, experience.

LICENSE: Possess a valid class C California driver''''s license and a California Electrical Certification (Journeyman's License).

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar type construction environment required.

• Project Software (MS Projects, InEight, Spectrum, AutoCAD)

• Reading Construction Drawings.

• Making Piping Isometric Drawings

• Understanding Mechanical/Civil/Structural drawings.

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Excellent organizational, communication, planning and analytical skills required.

• Material Take-Offs, Estimating, Scheduling, Procurement, Cost Tracking & Projections, Cost Controls.

• Management Skills.

• Construction Knowledge
