Support the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones are met
Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, foremen, and crews
Monitor site safety and assist in enforcing safety standards and procedures
Help ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
Track project progress and assist with reporting on productivity, schedule, and budget adherence
Participate in jobsite meetings with the owner, consultants, and inspectors
Communicate effectively with field staff, vendors, and project management teams
Help identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the Project Superintendent and engineers
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
Support quality assurance/quality control procedures in the field
Contribute to the training and development of craft personnel and foremen
Promote and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil Highway construction.
Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements
OSHA 10 certification preferred
Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication
Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to physically demanding tasks, including:
Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
Navigating uneven terrain and working in close proximity to heavy equipment
Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
