Client Overview:
Our client, a growing professional services organization, is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join their audit and assurance practice. The firm serves a diverse client base and offers a collaborative environment where professionals can continue developing their technical and leadership skills.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110k - $140k

Position Overview:
The Assurance Manager will lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion while managing client relationships and developing team members. This Assurance Manager position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, oversee multiple engagements, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Assurance Manager:
  • Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements across various industries and client types.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and other applicable accounting standards in audit execution.
  • Develop engagement plans including scope, timelines, and staffing assignments.
  • Supervise, review, and support work performed by staff and senior-level team members.
  • Review audit documentation, financial statements, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and document audit findings and internal control observations.
  • Prepare required engagement communications and client deliverables.
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and completion timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
  • Support engagement setup, including proposals and planning documentation as needed.
  • Ensure completion of engagements in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in internal training and development activities as required.
Required Experience/Skills for the Assurance Manager:
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in public accounting with an audit/assurance focus.
  • CPA license or CPA-eligible status.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and auditing standards.
  • Experience managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with audit and accounting software tools.
  • Prior experience performing responsibilities commonly associated with an Assurance Manager role.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Assurance Manager:
  • Previous experience as an Assurance Manager or Audit Manager within a public accounting firm.
  • Experience with multi-entity or complex engagements.
  • Experience in a mid-size or national public accounting environment.
  • Exposure to client-facing responsibilities and business development activities.
  • Industry specialization experience is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
