Position Description
Position Title: Athletic and Activities Program Coordinator
(12 month position)
Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Summary
Assist with the overall leadership and coordination among the various sports and activities that provide students worthwhile learning experiences. This role will work with the Athletic Director, building administration, coaches, advisors and others involved in district athletic and student activity programs to provide the best possible learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Sport Management major preferred
- Knowledge of the overall operation of co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- Previous coaching/athletic experience preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and Acceptable

spreadsheets, and presentations; must be able to use email

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The Assistant Athletic Director will assist the Athletic Director with the following Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports, athletic handbooks, policies and procedures
- Prepares the reports to keep Athletic Director informed as to school athletic projects such as participation, numbers, eligibility, and finances
- Works closely with the principals and Athletic Director in supervising and coordinating the overall athletics and activities
- Support all athletic and activity assemblies, awards, end of season banquets, and hall of fame inductions
- Assists with Interviews
- Coordinate and communicate with student athletes and families regarding onboarding to include meetings and pay to participate
- Assess student interest and maintain student sign up for sports and activities
- Work closely with the athletic trainer to oversee EAP (emergency action plans)
- Coordinate doctors for home football games and larger athletic events with the trainer.
- Coordinate officials, scheduling for teams and opposing team for all athletic events
- Works closely with principals, guidance counselors, and the state high school athletic association on eligibility
- Works closely with maintenance, grounds crew, regarding facilities and secures game day personnel
- Work closely with the booster clubs to preparing for the athletic program
- Coordinates for concessions for all athletic events with the booster clubs
- Coordinates preseason football ticket drives with the booster clubs
- Work closely with state high school athletic association in all matters pertaining to rules and regulations of the association
- Work closely with the Athletic Director to involve the business community
- Work with Athletic Director and/or designee for press releases to local newspapers all sports and activities
- Work closely with the Athletic Director, principals, and outside agencies on drug testing
- Attends professional meetings on a regular basis (OCC Middle School rep)
- Conducts evaluations of coaches in collaboration with building level principals/Athletic Director and maintain record of hiring
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist with facilities Management
- Maintain team and individual records and keep updated
