Job Requirements
The Certified Athletic Trainer renders service or treatment under the direction of a physician including prevention, immediate care, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, rehabilitation and reconditioning, program discontinuation, administration and organization relating to athletic injury or illness. He/she coordinates Athletic Training coverage for community-based events. He/she is responsible for coverage and care of athletes as assigned by the Sports Medicine Institute Manager. He/she participates in community presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager or director.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- BS in Athletic Training or related field
Experience:
Licenses/Registrations/ Certifications
- BOC Certification
- CPR-AHA BLS
- SC DHEC Athletic Training License or eligible - Must obtain within 60 days of employment
Preferred Requirements
Preferred Education
- MS in Athletic Training or related field
Preferred Experience
- Two (2) years clinical experience

- Completes other duties as assigned.
