Winamac Community High School is seeking an Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 school year (Grades 6-12).
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana teaching license preferred
- Previous coaching and/or athletic administration experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members
- Knowledge of athletic program management, scheduling, and event supervision
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision for all middle school and high school athletic programs
- Coordinate athletic schedules, transportation, facilities usage, and event management
- Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff
- Ensure compliance with all Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) rules and school policies
- Develop and maintain athletic budgets, equipment inventories, and purchasing procedures
- Promote student-athlete academic success, character development, and sportsmanship
- Coordinate athletic communication through social media, websites, and community outreach
- Organize postseason tournaments, senior recognition events, and athletic awards programs
- Work collaboratively with administration, faculty, booster organizations, and community partners
