Athletic Event Support Staff

EXTRA-CURRULAR POSITION(S)

SUPERVISOR: Principal, Athletic Director

SALARY: $45.00 per three (3.5) hour event

BUDGET SOURCE: School Funds

EMPLOYMENT TERM: Contingent upon sports season and schedule; As needed for athletic events during the 2025-2026 school year. Staff will be assigned to each event based on employee overall seniority.

Certification/Qualifications: Preston County School employee, previous experience preferred, satisfactory evaluations, ability to fulfill scheduled duties.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Sell and/or collect admission tickets and passes from patrons. Count and record number of tickets sold. Greet patrons attending athletic event as they enter the venue. Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity using criteria such as color and date issued. Guide patrons to exists or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency. Provide assistance with patrons' special needs, such as those with wheelchairs. Direct patrons to restrooms, concession stands and parking. Verify credentials of patrons desiring entrance as authorized. Distribute programs to patrons. Count money and complete proper documentation paperwork following an event and submit to Athletic Director or Principal. Announce sporting event. Referee games. Other duties assigned by Middle School Athletic Director or Principal
