JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Athletic Instructor shall be responsible for the instructional phase of any athletic or sport-oriented program, enforcing Park District policies regarding programs, conducting a safe and beneficial program, and act in the best interest of the Park District while on duty. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
- Conduct a safe and educational program.
- Develop a lesson plan for the program.
- Supervise any athletic assistants employed in the program.
- Keep Recreation Supervisor informed of the progress of the league.
- Be responsible for the general conduct at any facility or park at which the program meets.
- Be responsible for all equipment used in program.
- To be cooperative and develop a good relationship with the public.
- To enforce the rules and regulations as set forth by the Park District Board of Commissioners pertaining to all recreation programs.
- Solicit comments, suggestions and recommendations from the participants in the program and relay them to the Recreation Supervisor.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
- Other related job duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expertise and knowledge in the sport.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- High school graduate and at least 18 years of age.
