Job Summary: Performs a variety of standard clerical duties and secretarial support functions for department or school site administration and assigned staff. Provide primary support to the high school Athletic Director, and may provided supplemental support to the Office Manager and/or Assistant Principal Secretary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Schedules meetings, conferences, interviews, in-services and workshops, and maintains schedule of appointments.
Supports the Athletic Director to plan, organize, and direct all school sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events. Coordinates transportation for athletic events.
Manages the onboarding support for all coaches.
Tracks and communicates with students regarding their no-pass no-play requirements.
Supports the facilities rentals and scheduling of outside use of school buildings/property.
Prepares correspondence following instructions of the supervisor.
Places, screens, and forward telephone calls throughout the department/school site.
Coordinates, schedules, and prioritizes assigned tasks and projects. Communicates new or revised information to personnel.
Maintains confidential personnel and student files, records, and databases for the department/school site.
Completes the necessary processes in district systems to process employment matters in a timely manner.
Schedules employment interviews, conducts reference checks, processes payroll actions, and maintains attendance, payroll records, and timesheets.
Responds to inquiries from staff, vendors, contract providers, contractors, parents, students, and the community.
Processes and monitors a variety of agreements, contracts, and applications.
Maintains and updates student transcripts. Posts grades. Initiates requests for official transcripts for incoming/transferring students. Interprets transcript data. Recommends and/or determines applicability of other classes to Peoria Unified School District (PUSD) requirements, policies and procedures, under the direction of the administration or counseling office.
Handles the sending and receiving of transcripts for students applying to colleges, transferring to other schools, and transferring into the school.
Gathers data and provides a variety of reports as required regarding student grades and records.
Assists guidance staff in the assessment of graduation requirements for students in their senior year.
Orders and maintains office equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED AND 1 year experience in a professional office; OR any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
