POSITION: ATHLETIC TEAM BUS DRIVERS

Are you a skilled driver who loves the energy of game day? We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious Athletic Team Bus Drivers to transport our student-athletes and coaching staff to away games and tournaments.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We value your time and expertise. Our pay structure ensures you are compensated fairly for both your driving time and game-day standby:

Base Rate: Minimum $200 per trip (covers the first 4 hours). Additional Time: $35 per hour for every hour after the initial 4 hours. Paid Medical Exam: We will cover the cost of your state-required DOT physical.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide safe and reliable transportation for athletes, coaches, and equipment to scheduled athletic events. Maintain a strict schedule to ensure teams arrive for warm-ups and tip-offs on time. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus safety and cleanliness. Communicate effectively with the Director of Transportation, Athletic Director and coaching staff regarding routes and timing. Adhere to all state and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To comply with Connecticut State Law (CGS § 14-44) for student transportation, all applicants must meet the following:

Valid CT CDL: Must possess a Class B or Class A Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger (P) endorsement. Student Transportation Activity Vehicle (A) or School Bus (S) endorsement. Background Checks: Must pass a state and national criminal background check, including a check against the National Sex Offender Registry and the CT Child Abuse and Neglect Registry.
