    Bachelor''s degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Ability and willingness to work an extensive night, weekend and holiday work schedule for sports event coverage and television production. Valid Driver's License with ability to be insured by University insurance carrier. Grade 5 (Salaried)

    Position Description:

    The Athletic Television Producer II (Associate Producer) assists with producing live and/or taped content for the ACC Network, CardsTV, and In-Venue productions for the University of Louisville Athletic Department. This position communicates all content directives from ESPN's weekly production calls, spanning various sports, and serves as the lead graphics position for ACC Network linear broadcasts.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to design, implement, and execute on-air graphics that support storylines for all UofL Broadcast Center Productions.

    • Use knowledge of sports and graphics to help determine the concepts, look, and content of graphics for assigned events.

    • Research sports information and obtain materials as directed by ESPN Associate Producers and directors or assigned productions.

    • Handle pre-production work for assigned broadcast/webcast/Big Screen Production.

    • Maintain the most current software and project deployments for all ESPN/ACC Network projects, including IMS Images.

    • Train and mentor students and contract employees in various roles that include prepping elements for game, event, edit, or shoot, and executing content delivery.

    • Occasionally write line copy and parts of scripts, and special introductions.

    • Stay current with technological advances in animation, video editing, and graphics; recommend software updates as technology advances.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Three (3) years of experience producing graphics for live sports/events.

    • Knowledge of sports and sports history.

    • Basic knowledge of what story ideas and concepts to use for assigned sports events.

    • Experience with ROSS Carbonite Video Switchers.

    • Understanding of Evertz Routers and video and audio signal flow.

    • Working Knowledge of Evertz DreamCatchers replay systems.

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects).

    • Proficient with Ross Xpression Graphics.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel spreadsheets.

    • Ability to function effectively in an atmosphere subject to frequent changes and thrives on deadlines, delivering high-quality, accurate work in pressure situations.

    • Ability to multitask on live remote and studio productions.

    • Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills, including both verbal and written.

    • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

    Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
