Athletic Trainer | South Park, Charlotte, NC

Help patients get back to the activities they love. We're seeking an Athletic Trainer to work alongside sports medicine physicians in a busy clinical setting. You'll support patients from injury evaluation through treatment and recovery, while helping the care team deliver a smooth, personal experience.

What you'll do

• Gather injury histories, perform musculoskeletal assessments under physician direction, and assist with orthopedic and sports medicine exams.
• Present findings to physicians and document patient visits in the electronic medical record.
• Teach home exercise programs, injury care, activity modifications, and return-to-sport or work guidance.
• Fit and educate patients on braces, splints, taping, and other durable medical equipment.
• Support concussion screening and follow-up according to established protocols.
• Track rehabilitation progress and coordinate care with physical therapy, imaging, and other services.
• Help with procedures and injections when appropriate and within your scope of practice.
• Respond to patient questions and reinforce treatment plans with patients and families.

What you'll bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program.
• Board of Certification (BOC) certification and current North Carolina licensure.
• A strong understanding of orthopedic injuries, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.
• Clear communication, sound clinical documentation, and a team-focused approach.

This role involves standing and moving throughout the clinic, assisting patients with positioning and therapeutic activities, and occasional lifting or bending during patient care.
