Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is responsible for providing outreach athletic training services to the schools and programs that contract with the facility. 

  

What you will do in this role: 

 

  • You will participate in the delivery of sports medicine services through outreach programs 
  • Your role delivers sports medicine services through coverage of athletic events 
  • Your role demonstrates compliance with professional responsibilities to ensure high standards of professional behavior and development of professional growth for effective delivery of sports medicine services.  
  • Your role demonstrates performs, completes and participates in administrative and educational programs and assignments for delivery of highest standards and maximum use efficiency of sports medicine services 
  • You will deliver sports medicine services through physician/trainer/therapist team in a clinical setting 
  • You will make appropriate referrals for sports injury related care 
  • You role will work with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to evaluate, treat and monitor sports-related injuries Discuss treatment goals with athletes, families, coaches, and medical professionals 
  • You will design rehabilitation, return to play, and training programs for athletes 

 

 

 What qualifications you will need:  

 

  • Bachelor required. Masters Preferred. 
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.  
  • Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association. 
  • Graduate of an accredited athletic training program 
  • BLS 
  • Compliance with standards and guidelines as dictated by the NATA, the NATA role delineation, and applicable laws 
  • Expert knowledge of sports-related injuries and their management 
  • Problem solving skills 
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and attentive 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and decision-making ability 
  • 1 years experience Required Years of Experience

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
