Athletic Trainer-Clinic IUHMG-South

Job Description

Overview This is a full-time position with our Orthopedics Team in Bloomington, Indiana. Works with providers in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic practice manager and providers. Performs duties associated with direct patient care in accordance with the organization standards. Assists the providers with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and assuring efficient patient flow. Patient education will range from explaining next steps in the treatment plan to educating patients through a home exercise program or bracing. May perform computerized provider order entry per provider.

Participation in Decision-Making and Teamwork Participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve set outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. May perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, telehealth, patient care quality improvement activities, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education Requires a Masters Degree from an accredited academic program in athletic training or a Bachelors Degree in athletic training prior to 2023.

Experience Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Licensure and Certification Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible is required. Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.
