Athletic Trainer-Clinic Job Description

Overview --------

Location ---------

This is a school-based athletic training position. You will be required to work at the schools for practices, games, and will include weekends and evenings.

Roles and Responsibilities ---------------------------

• Works with providers in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic practice manager and providers. • Performs duties associated with direct patient care in accordance with the organizations standards. • Assists the providers with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and assuring efficient patient flow. • Patient education will range from explaining next steps in the treatment plan to educating patients through a home exercise program or bracing. • May perform computerized provider order entry per provider. • Participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve set outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. • May perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, telehealth patient care, quality improvement activities, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements -------------

• Requires a Masters Degree from an accredited academic program in athletic training or a Bachelors Degree in athletic training prior to 2023. • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. • Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligibility is required. • Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer. • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.
