Major/Essential Functions
- Responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses, as well as the daily operation of the Baseball and Men's/Women's Tennis programs.
- Acts in accordance with physician supervision and prescribed treatment plans.
- Record and maintain medical information complying with HIPAA and FERPA.
- Appropriately utilizes injury management software.
- Maintains communication and a cooperative relationship with coaches, administrators, parents, and student-athletes.
- Assists in the administration of the athletic training student program.
- Possesses and complies with appropriate certifications and licensures, including BOC and/or Texas Licensure, CPR, and AED training.
- Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Master's Degree
- NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with team physicians, sports performance staff, and coaches to create comprehensive health and performance plans.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that could include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years experience as an athletic trainer. Additional related education may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis. Must be licensed as an athletic trainer within the United States and be expected to obtain a Texas license or certification.
