What We're Looking For:

Education

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program

Preferred

  • Master's degree

Experience

Preferred

  • Two years of athletic training experience in a sports medicine, orthopedic, or clinical setting

Licensure & Certifications

Required

  • Current Athletic Trainer licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • Board of Certification (BOC) certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain before employment

Preferred

  • CSCS, PES, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), Dry Needling, or similar advanced certifications
  • AHA First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification
What You'll Do:

Patient Care

  • Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate orthopedic and sports-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Develop individualized rehabilitation plans and therapeutic exercise programs.
  • Provide injury prevention education, concussion assessment and management, emergency care, and return-to-play guidance.
  • Assist physicians with clinical procedures, casting, splinting, orthotics, wound care, durable medical equipment (DME), and exercise stress testing.
  • Obtain patient histories, vital signs, documentation, referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient education.

Clinical Operations

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Coordinate concussion programs and sports medicine services.
  • Manage clinical supplies, DME inventory, and sports medicine equipment.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and staff education.

Sports Medicine Outreach

  • Provide athletic training coverage for schools, teams, and community sporting events.
  • Build relationships with athletes, coaches, schools, and community organizations.
  • Develop and promote sports medicine, injury prevention, and wellness programs.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation staff, and community partners to coordinate high-quality patient care.
  • Support education of students, residents, and fellows as appropriate.

Patient Experience

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families using language that promotes understanding and engagement.

Additional Skills

Required

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
