The University of Rio Grande is seeking two (2) Athletic Trainers to start immediately. Reporting to the Athletic Director, these full-time,10-month administrative positions (paid over 12 months with 60 days off in the summer months) are responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The positions come with a competitive pay and benefits package, relocation package, and a a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a one-year commitment. Rio Grande is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the River States Conference (RSC). Rio competes as the “RedStorm” in 26 intercollegiate varsity sports: Men's sports include baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, rugby, soccer, track & field (indoor & outdoor), volleyball, and wrestling; while women's sports include basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, rugby, soccer, softball, track & field (indoor & outdoor), and volleyball; and co-ed sports include bass fishing, cheerleading, dance, and eSports. After a 75 year hiatus, football returned for the 2025 season, competing in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is medium demand. Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects. Medium strength is required to position patients for examination. May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table.
