Job Summary and Qualifications

The primary responsibility of the Athletic Trainer is to provide high-quality care for all athletes. Excellent service, including communication, compassionate care, and exceeding expectations of athletes, parents, and coaches, is the standard. The Athletic Trainer will be communicating and working under the direction of a highly qualified and experienced sports medicine physician practice. Duties associated with this position include but are not limited to:

• Preventative and rehabilitative care • Evaluation and first aid • Practice and game supervision • Effective communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians • Referring athletes for appropriate diagnostic follow-up procedures and subsequent injury tracking • Shared community projects promoting our sports medicine service • Shared supervision of club and recreational sport

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A Bachelors Degree • Graduate from a Certified Athletic Training Program required • Must be Licensed by the Florida Board of Athletic Training as an Athletic Trainer or eligible to sit for the exam; must obtain license within 6 months of employment • Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 30 days of hire

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities.
