POSITION DESCRIPTION: Manage comprehensive sports medicine programs for student-athletes. Responsibilities include injury prevention, emergency medical response, concussion management, and rehabilitation. The role requires Massachusetts state licensure, Board of Certification (BOC) credentials, and flexibility for after-school, evening, and weekend event coverage.

Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
Massachusetts State Licensure as an Athletic Trainer (or eligibility for licensure by start date)
Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Bachelors or Master's Degree from a CAATE accredited program
Successful fulfillment of CORI, and mandatory fingerprinting background screenings in accordance with Massachusetts state mandates
Proven expertise in the oversight of head injury protocols and the execution of urgent medical response strategies
Experience working in the high school or collegiate athletic settings preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Director
of Athletics may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements
Familiarity with MIAA rules and regulations per Sports Medicine Coverage and Athletic procedures
