Description of Position

The Athletics Admin will report to the Athletic Director to support the successful execution of all Yavapai College Athletics administrative tasks. This position requires frequent communication and interaction with all YC coaches, Athletics staff members, Business Office, Campus Safety, and Facilities.

This individual will perform a variety of administrative processes including but not limited to the following:

  • Provide document support for administrators, coaches, and staff

  • Coordinate general office functions within the Athletic Department

  • Act as the Athletics budget and travel liaison with the YC Business Office

  • Complete purchases and reimbursements on behalf of Athletic Department

  • Manage the scheduling of Athletic facilities and events in CourseDog

  • Coordinate Athletic van schedules and reconcile expenses with Facilities

  • Support logistics, promotion, and hosting of fundraising initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Expectations & Requirements

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Skilled in communication, customer service, and event management

  • Ability to gather, organize and analyze data for reports and other documents

  • Ability to research and resolve problems effectively

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Knowledgeable in office management techniques, including English usage, spelling, grammar, composition, proofreading, punctuation, accuracy, and business letters

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Regular in-person attendance is an essential job function

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in related field
  • Two years of work experience in an intercollegiate athletic program
  • Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations
