Working Title: Athletics Bus Driver Position Status: Part Time Department: Athletics
General Summary ---------------
Transport Odessa College Coaches and student-athletes to and from various athletic games and competitions.
Specific Position Duties ------------------------
• Safely and confidently operate multi-passenger van bus or its equivalent in size or load capacity bus in a variety of weather conditions. • Must be available for overnight trips and late-night returns. • Work with coaching staff to deal with any changes or interruptions in trip itinerary and coordinate to ensure timely departures and arrivals. • Perform safety and maintenance checks. • Advise appropriate personnel of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
Minimum Qualifications ----------------------
• Valid Class B CDL with Passenger • Air Brake endorsements • and an excellent driving record. • Working knowledge of and ability to operate large capacity passenger vehicles. • Knowledge of safety and security concepts, procedures, and practices. • Demonstrated ability to follow and give oral and written instructions, explain and ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations, and react appropriately in routine and emergency situations. • Successful completion of a background and medical clearance.
