Department: Athletics Reports To: Director of Athletics/ Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Operations
Position Summary:
Bethel UniversityAthletics is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to serve as Athletics Facilities & Grounds Associates during the summer months. This position assists with the care, maintenance, and preparation of athletic facilities and outdoor competition surfaces to support a safe, clean, and championship-level environment for student-athletes, camps, and university events.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with mowing, lining, grooming, and general maintenance of athletic fields and grounds
Prepare athletic facilities for practices, camps, and special events
Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of indoor and outdoor athletic spaces
Assist with painting, landscaping, trash removal, and minor repair projects
Operate basic groundskeeping and maintenance equipment safely and responsibly
Support event setup and breakdown as needed
Maintain a professional and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or current college enrollment preferred
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or facilities experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
This is a seasonal, hourly position that may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on departmental needs.
