Are you organized and dependable? Do you enjoy working with people? The Parks and Recreation department is looking for an Athletics Office Clerk to join the team.

We are looking for someone with computer skills to navigate our website and help on the office-side of the sports world! This position would help keep the website up to date for leagues and assist a variety of tasks for both adult and youth sports leagues year-round. When the seasons change, the sports change! If you are courteous to customers, detailed with tasks, and reliable, we want you to join our small team!

What Youll Do

  • Act as a Receptionist greeting visitors, answering and managing phone calls
  • Provide excellent customer service by becoming familiar with Athletics and its programs
  • Use a computer to process financial transactions like participant registrations and preparing receipts
  • Use a computer to update scores, process registrations, and customer accounts
  • Use a computer to run reports in our TeamSideline website, and use Excel
  • Use Microsoft applications for organization, emails, and communications
  • Prepare, move and store equipment for program
  • Other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications and navigating related websites
  • Experience with or general understanding of team sports rules, scheduling, and scoring
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Customer friendly; has good phone etiquette; takes detailed messages
  • Self-motivated; and reliable

Compensation and Pay: $15.00 per hour. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages. *This is an unclassified (temporary) position and not eligible for benefits.

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m., but may be flexible.

Must be 18 years of age or older

The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln.

Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.

Temporary, on call, and seasonal positions with the City are not eligible for benefits.
