Overview: The Athletics Office Student Employee will provide customer service and administrative support to office at Oakton Athletics. The student in this role will be generally trained on administrative tasks, and customer service. A typical day could include staffing the frond desk and answering phones, providing event support, or completing a special project detailed by the Athletics department. SometimesHours Available: Monday- Friday: 10:00 am- 5:00 pmSchedule Flexibility: Flexible Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities (TDRs) and Learning Outcomes:- Assist office in updating social media & website (CM, TM)- Assisting in office data entry (TM)- Assisting office in organizing athletic events (CT)- Greeting and answering phones in the office (PF)- Lead tours for prospective and new athletes (LD)- Collaborate with athletics department on other tasks as directed (TW) Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities or KSOAs)- Must be a currently enrolled at Oakton College in at least 6 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semesters. Employment over the summer is allowed for students taking at least 1 credit class during the summer, or students continuing registration into the following Fall semester.- Must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good standing at Oakton College.- Eligible to work in the United States. - Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.-Demonstrated reliability and responsibility. -Friendly, flexible, organized, courteous, and punctuality a must. -Exceptional communication and organizational skills with strong detail orientation preferred. -Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office and Google technology (GSUITE) preferred -Demonstrated ability to work independently.- Some evening and very occasional weekend hours Application Process:All interested applicants should complete an online application and provide a resume.Please contact Mick Reuter, at mreuter@oakton.edu with any questions.
