The Neenah Joint School District is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE AA1 - Attendance Clerk for Neeah Middle School, starting with 2026-27 school year. This position has a start date of August 17, 2026.
Under general supervision of Building Principal, performs word processing/data entry and office work calling for the exercise of judgment in carrying out prescribed routines and procedures in accordance with general instructions, particularly those related to attendance and effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Examples of Work:
- Takes attendance-related calls, enters attendance data into computer, and telephones parents/guardians about unexcused absences at the end of each day.
- Does filing and maintains a variety of periodic student reports.
- Compiles and enters detailed and complex student demographic information into the computer.
- Gives information on school policies and regulations.
COMMON PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, and members of the community in a positive, courteous, and respectful way. Performs duties in a safe and effective manner. Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality for information. Follows the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the District. Maintains personnel information as needed.
COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Cognitive efforts are required to prioritize multiple competing tasks and interruptions. Must be able to focus on the details of completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Must be able to answer inquiries while maintaining confidentiality of information. This position requires individual judgment and initiative.
Essential Knowledge and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Infinite Campus management software program.
- Knowledge of office methods and procedures, business English, spelling and commercial arithmetic.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and software programs (Gmail, Schoology, Infinite Campus) including Macintosh computers, calculators, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relationships.
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and prepare clear and detailed reports.
- Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
- Ability to be flexible and willing to adapt to new procedures and requirements.
- Ability to interact and communicate with a diverse group of students, parents, and colleagues.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from high school required.
- Minimum of two or more years of responsible office work experience.
- Previous work experience in a school setting desired.
