Parkview School District is seeking a caring, organized, and customer-focused Attendance & Health Assistant to join our Jr./Sr. High School team.

As the Attendance & Health Assistant, you''ll be one of the first people students, families, and visitors interact with each day. Your ability to create a welcoming environment, provide compassionate care, and keep our school running smoothly plays an important role in helping students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

What You''ll Do

Attendance & Student Support

  • Maintain accurate daily attendance records using the district''s student information system.

  • Process absences, tardies, and early dismissals while ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Communicate with families regarding attendance concerns and answer attendance-related questions.

  • Verify absence notifications and follow up with families when students are unaccounted for.

  • Monitor attendance trends and notify administration of concerns related to excessive absences or truancy.

  • Assist students, families, and staff with attendance-related questions in a professional and welcoming manner.

Student Health Services

  • Provide basic first aid and care for students who become ill or injured during the school day.

  • Assess student needs and determine when parent contact or additional medical attention is appropriate.

  • Administer medications according to district procedures under the supervision of the school nurse.

  • Maintain confidential health records, medication logs, and incident documentation.

  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student illness, injury, or medical concerns.

Front Office & Administrative Support

  • Welcome students, families, staff, and visitors while creating a positive first impression of our school.

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct visitors appropriately.

  • Assist with filing, data entry, copying, and maintaining student records.

  • Maintain office and health room supplies.

  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure the smooth daily operation of the school.

  • Perform other duties as assigned that support students and school operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.

  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software.

  • Ability to learn and utilize district software systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school, healthcare, office, or customer service setting.

  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Experience working with student information systems.
