Job Title: Attendance/PEIMS Clerk Contract Days: 197 Reports to: Principal Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt Pay Grade: PARA 03 Funding S ource: Local Revision Date: April 2024 Primary Purpose: Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades. Qualifications: Educa tion/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10 -key skills Ability to meet established deadlines Experience: Two years data entry experience Major Responsibilities and Duties: Records and Reports 1. Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into establisheddatabase and verify accuracy of according to established procedures.2. Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports, grades, class orpersonnel rosters, end -of-semester reports, or accounting reports.3. Maintain physical and computerized records, including studentcumulative folders, progres s and failure reports, class rosters, gradebooks, and schedule changes if applicable.4. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and recordsfrom other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering studentdata into appropriate databases.5. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding studentattendance.6. Process and transmits requests for student information and transcripts. Attendance/PEIMS Clerk Page 2 of 2 7. Call parents to verify student absences as needed. 8. Report all attendance problems to des ignated administrator. Other 9. Assist in campus office as needed. 10. Maintain confidentiality. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors : Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision -making. Frequent in -district and occasional in -state or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
