HPU Health- Oral Health Network is a non-for-profit dental network that provides primary and surgical/specialty care, part of the High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine (WSDM).
We are seeking full-time (12-month, non-tenure track) faculty appointments with duties in the High Point University Oral Health Network (OHN) and Workman School of Dental (WSDM), which includes the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and post-doctoral programs. Professional rank will be commensurate with the candidate's level of experience and qualifications at time of hire.
The faculty member in Prosthodontics and Digital Dentistry is responsible in providing patient care in OHN and educating pre-doctoral dental students and post-doctoral residents in WSDM. The position will report to the Chief Dental Officer and executive leadership team (ELT) of the Workman School of Dental Medicine. The position will report to the Chief Dental Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
DDS or DMD degree (or foreign equivalent), active full dental licensure in the state of North Carolina
Completion of a CODA-accredited prosthodontics program in the US.
Must be at least board-eligible from the American Board of Prosthodontics
Experience and Training
Preferably 5 years of experience in clinical practice of dentistry
Proficiency in digital applications in dentistry, including scanning, CAD-CAM 3-d printing, and digital treatment planning.
Leadership experience and program building is preferrable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The candidate selected for this position will perform all duties directed by the Chief Clinical Officer and WSDM executive leadership team (ELT). The candidate will be expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
Patient care
Provides comprehensive and emergency care to patients seen in the HPU Oral Health Network OHN)
Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, ethical-fitness, and patient-centered approach
Documentation of patient history, examination findings, diagnosis, treatment planning utilizing electronic health record (EPIC)
Comforts with digital technologies such as intraoral scanning, photography, 3d printing, CAD-CAM, and imaging.
Provides restorative dentistry with emphasis on implantology.
Be able to cover for other OHN providers, as needed.
Education
Serves as an attending clinical faculty for DMD and AEGD residents.
May be involved in curriculum design and pre-clinical simulation lab courses.
To develop a digital innovation lab for education and application for the HPU OHN.
Provides continuing education courses in HPU WSDM as a content matter expert.
Serves as a clinician role model for learners and be able to thrive in a start-up education model.

Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews is conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
