With over 100 attorneys, the firm offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment and a clearly defined path to partnership, including potential equity opportunities.About the Role The First-Party Property Coverage Attorney will play a key role in a growing and sophisticated property insurance practice, handling high-exposure coverage disputes from pre-suit evaluation through litigation and resolution. This position offers substantial hands‑on responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful courtroom experience. Ideal for an attorney looking to deepen technical coverage expertise while advancing toward long‑term partnership opportunities within a collaborative, high-performing team.Responsibilities Manage first-party property coverage disputes from inception through resolutionConduct pre-suit coverage analysis and provide strategic recommendationsDraft pleadings, motions, and coverage opinionsTake and defend depositions, including Examinations Under Oath (EUOs)Participate in mediations, hearings, and court appearancesCollaborate with team members on litigation strategy and case developmentCommunicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counselQualifications Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in first-party property coverage or insurance defense litigationStrong policy analysis and coverage interpretation skillsExperience handling EUOs, depositions, pleadings, and motionsExcellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy abilitiesStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesDetail-oriented with a team-first mindsetActive license to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility for admissionPay range and compensation package Base salary ranging from $120,000–$180,000 DOE + non-discretionary bonus opportunitiesHybrid work schedule combining remote and in-office flexibilityClear path to partnership and potential equity ownershipComprehensive benefits package including health coverage and retirement optionsOngoing professional development, mentorship programs, and firm-sponsored eventsEqual Opportunity Statement We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace.
