This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.WHAT YOU WILL DOThis role offers the chance to work on high-level transactions with a diverse range of clients, including emerging talent, music companies, and digital servicesAdvise clients on a broad array of music transactions, including recording agreements, publishing deals, licensing arrangements, and endorsement agreementsDraft, review, and negotiate key contracts related to the development, commercialization, and acquisition of music rightsWork on matters related to copyright, trademark, AI, and rights of publicity in the music contextEngage in music catalog acquisitions and sales, and digital licensing mattersREQUIREMENTSJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentialsAdmission to the California state bar required2-6 years of experience in music law, either in-house or at a leading law firmExperienced in advising on a wide range of music industry related transactionsFamiliarity with copyright law, rights of publicity, sponsorship and endorsement, rights of name/image/likeness/voice, and trademark issues within the music and entertainment spaceExcellent judgment, communication skills, and business acumenSalary and Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is betwee n $160-250k .
