About the Job

\n

We are seeking Litigation Associate Attorneys admitted to the Maryland and/or Virginia Bar to join a growing civil liability defense practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, legal research, and writing skills and be comfortable handling cases independently while collaborating with attorneys and clients.

\n

Candidates with 1–4 years of prior litigation experience are preferred, but candidates with relevant litigation experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of civil liability defense matters.
• \n
• Develop defense strategies and manage cases throughout the litigation process.
• \n
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• \n
• Lead and manage discovery and communicate directly with clients.
• \n
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• \n
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide effective legal representation.
• \n

Qualifications

• Current admission to the Maryland and/or Virginia Bar.
• \n
• 1–4 years of prior litigation experience preferred, but not required.
• \n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• \n
• Ability to think critically and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• \n
• Interest in civil liability defense and managing cases independently.
