The Opportunity
Knight Law Group, LLP is in search of an attorney with one to two years of litigation experience. A successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for serving the public interest by advocating on behalf of California consumers pursuing claims against car manufacturers and car dealers. The position calls for a hardworking and dedicated attorney that is interested in aggressive discovery-driven litigation tactics. Knight Law Group offers a unique opportunity for an early career attorney to get immediate experience in many phases of litigation, including: written discovery, law & motion, oral argument, and depositions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Working on a team with senior lawyers, while taking responsibility for the following types of tasks:

• Draft written discovery, review responses and document productions, participating in e-discovery review of documents
• Law & Motion Work
• Draft motions related to written discovery disputes
• Prepare for and participate in oral arguments in various courtrooms relating to discovery disputes, pleading challenges, case management conferences, and ex parte requests
• Depositions
• Attend and defend consumer client depositions
• Further opportunities for a stellar candidate to quickly grow into assisting with dispositive motions, higher-stakes depositions, and trial preparation work

QUALITIES/SKILLS Needed To Successfully Perform Job Duties And Responsibilities.
Minimum J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

• California Bar license in good standing
• Up to 1-year of litigation experience as a California licensed attorney
• Willingness to learn and apply technology solutions and work in a paperless environment
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook
• Ability in decision-making and problem-solving
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to track and comply with deadlines
• Willingness to function in a team environment
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to general office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This is a hybrid role where you will work in our beautiful Century City offices.
