Attorney ILegal Services – Service OklahomaPosition SummaryThe Implied Consent Staff Attorney performs professional legal representation for Service Oklahoma, primarily in implied consent litigation. Legal research and representation may be required in related driver license and motor vehicle service issues.Position ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those specific to Service Oklahoma.Prepare briefs, pleadings, motions, petitions, and other legal documents.Assemble legal materials, agency data, documents, and pleadings for court cases.Ensure deadlines are met for filing various court actions.Participate in all aspects of litigation.Provide management with advice and work product exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of relevant law and facts.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and correspondence.Strong presentation skills, able to articulate complex legal concepts to diverse audiences persuasively.Uncompromising ethical standards with a commitment to the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and circumstances.Resilience in the face of challenges, maintaining composure under pressure and navigating ambiguity with confidence.Ability to perform independent research, analysis, and application of legal principles, facts, and precedents.Education & ExperiencePreferred minimum qualifications:Graduation from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma; and at least one year of legal experience as a licensed attorney.Special RequirementsSchedule flexibility, including early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime as required.Occasional travel required; willingness to use state vehicles or reliable transportation for local travel.Work predominantly in a comfortable office setting with a computer.Must be able to stand up to eight hours a day and lift 10–50 pounds regularly, with assistance as needed.Equality and diversity are core values of the State of Oklahoma.
