A nationally recognized litigation defense firm is expanding its medical malpractice defense practice across Midtown Manhattan, Long Island, and White Plains. The firm is actively hiring multiple attorneys due to continued growth and increased caseload demand.

 

The practice is structured around mentorship, collaboration, and long-term attorney development. Attorneys work closely with experienced partners and senior litigators in a high-volume litigation environment focused on healthcare defense matters.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Defend hospitals, physicians, and healthcare providers in malpractice litigation
  • Manage discovery, including document review and responses
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Draft and argue motions
  • Appear in court for hearings and conferences
  • Perform legal and medical research
  • Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Admission to the New York Bar at time of interview
  • 2+ years of medical malpractice defense experience preferred
  • Junior candidates with prior exposure (e.g., clerkship experience) considered
  • Mid/senior candidates must have direct malpractice defense experience
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage high caseloads

 

Compensation:

  • Junior associates: ~$100,000+
  • Mid-level: $100,000 – $150,000
  • Senior / Of Counsel: $150,000 – $200,000
  • Bonus structure begins at 1,950 billable hours and increases incrementally
