Attorney

Our client, a non-profit civil legal firm, is seeking an ATTORNEY for their New Windsor office. The Attorney will work on matters related to housing, eviction, foreclosure, and probate. This is a direct hire position.

Duties of the Position: The duties include intake and individual case work, litigation in city, state, and federal courts, including appellate practice, and education and outreach efforts directed at community members and service providers.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
• One or more years of legal experience, including litigation, or its equivalent
• Understanding of the nature and dynamics of housing and benefits
• Court appearances in New York Courts when required
