Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation/Personal Injury Attorney to join our law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, and update and maintain files. You will work closely with administrative staff, other colleagues, and senior partners to provide excellent legal services to our clients. Weekends may be required, especially at the beginning of employment.Responsibilities Prepare contracts, complaints, answers, forms, briefs, and motions, in addition to other court/client correspondenceConduct interviews, depositions, and trialsConduct complex legal researchPrepare for and attend legal proceedingsProvide legal counselNegotiate on behalf of clientsMaintain detailed and accurate client recordsSupervise paralegals and administrative assistantsQualifications Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Litigation/Personal InjuryActive member of the American Bar Association (ABA)Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clientsAbility to handle a high caseloadDetail-oriented, organized, and quickBilingual in Spanish is preferred; Portuguese is a plusExperience with Landlord/Tenant, Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, Family Law (divorce, child support, custody, TRO, etc.), and/or other areas of lawExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent public speaking skillsAbility to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategiesMUST have a driver's license and be computer literate.Please submit your salary requirements to be considered.
