Our team is known for advising debtors, trustees, creditors, and fiduciaries across a wide range of industries, from large multinational restructurings to middle-market cases.

Job Details

Responsibilities
Assist in representing corporate debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings, including:
Preparing petitions and first-day motions
Supporting matters involving DIP financing and cash collateral (critical tools that allow companies to continue operating through bankruptcy)
Work on restructuring strategy and case progression from filing through confirmation
Support representation of trustees, post-confirmation plan administrators, and other fiduciaries
Handle litigation and adversary proceedings, including:
Avoidance actions (preferences and fraudulent conveyance)
Draft pleadings, motions, and bankruptcy court filings
Conduct legal research and assist with creditor negotiations and claims analysis

Qualifications
JD from a top law school and admitted (or eligible) in New York
1–4 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or related practice
Experience working on Chapter 11 debtor-side matters preferred:
Exposure to petitions, first-day motions, and DIP financing strongly valued
Experience with trustee or post-confirmation work is a plus
Background in avoidance actions (plaintiff or defense) is a plus
Prior experience at a top-tier law firm (e.g., major NYC firms) is a plus
Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a lean, high-responsibility environment
